Thanks so much to Barb for inviting me to join the world of Final Fantasy last night. No, not the video game – Owen Pallett’s world of violin, looping, pedals, and touching lyrics. I was seriously blown away by the performance which took place at Knox United Church. I cannot believe I hadn’t seen him play before. The opening act, Timber Timbre, was equally enchanting. Their music reminded me of a scary dreamy forest, where the evil birds are loud but your heart beat is even louder. It was just fantastic. Stay tuned because I think Barb might do a full review of the show.
